This very limited edition, handmade bag, is a special memento of Schiedam’s windmill heritage.
Each of the 20 bags in this series is unique, and is lined in one of three gorgeous shades of green.

After a good lifetime’s service at Molen De Walvisch in Schiedam, the windmill sailcloth was deemed no longer up to the task of whipping around in the wind anymore. But it is perfect for our handsome range of shopping bags.
Mohammed the maker
Evergreen Conny – the shopper was made by Mohammed, a Syrian craftsperson now living in the Netherlands. He is part of the ‘home team’ of workers with Rotterdams Handwerk. The Rotterdams Handwerk Foundation focuses on sustainable and local production, as well as attractive and functional design.
Mill Made is committed to finding new ways to upcycle and recycle used and remnant mill materials. Our product designs are original, sustainable, and stylish.
We at Mill Made are passionate about heritage, and about how we can make it contemporary. We do ask, why on earth is this windmill named The Whale?
