Irene - the vase wrapper
Irene - the vase wrapper
Irene – the vase wrapper is a sneaky, yet stylish solution when you have run out of vases, but there is still an empty wine bottle in the house.
The canvas easily stands up on its own, to give a nice, neat appearance.
Windmill sail canvas comes in very wide rolls, and since the blades are all different sizes, there are often small remnant rolls leftover. Having been neatly rolled up in the corner of the sailmaker’s studio just waiting for a purpose, it is perfect for our range of handsome products.
This product is hand-made by the Mill Made team.
Key details
Named after Irene at Het Fourniturenkabinet in Dordrecht, simply because she is the one with all the solutions to any sewing conundrum.
While most Dutch windmill sails are brown, in South Holland they are also sometimes cream in colour
By upcycling this fabric remnant, we have saved another piece of otherwise useful textile from unnecessarily going into landfill. Well done you and us
